The Custom House is situated on the shore front of Stranraer with lovely views of the loch and the old port and only a two minute walk away from the town centre (just across the road from the Tourist Information Centre).
The emphasis is on good food, good service and good conversation, not to mention, on Friday and Saturday nights, good partying, as the resident DJ adds to the lively atmosphere. On certain nights throughout the year, The Custom House programmes live entertainment as well as charity events and you can take part in our quiz night every Sunday.
‘In 2009 when Eddie Izzard ran 1100 miles across the UK to raise money for Sport Relief, he stopped in at The Custom House for dinner’
This pub is proud of the hospitality it shows to everyone, whether it’s the many locals who call in for a meal each week or holidaymakers passing through and for the summer we now have a recently refurbished external decked area. In 2009 when Eddie Izzard ran 1100 miles across the UK to raise money for Sport Relief, he stopped in at The Custom House in Stranraer for dinner and other television personalities to have frequented The Custom House include Elaine C Smith and some of the cast from Mrs Brown’s Boys.
